Capt Philip Le Blancq, formerly labelled by mistake John Read. Capt Le Blancq was Master in 1855 of the topsail schooner Adelina. He was also Master of the brigantine Reaper. He was believed drowned at sea: J. Jean, Jersey Sailing Ships, (Chichester: Phillimore, 1982), Colour Plate 5. The portrait survives in Jersey
