Families associated with the property
- De Gruchy: The land upon which this house was built at Profonde Rue, has been, from time immemorial, de Gruchy land. It was first built upon in the late 16th century, having become by partage, or inheritance, the property of Jacques de Gruchy, a younger son of Bernabey, of the neighbouring property, La Chasse. After five generations, it was sold in the 18th century, to a distant cousin, Philippe de Gruchy (1738- ), in whose family it remained until comparatively recently, having been the home of Miss Adelaide de Gruchy in the 1920s, the aunt of Edmund de Gruchy. A 19th century owner, Jean de Gruchy, a Captain in the Militia and Trinity registrar, ran from here a most successful cider manufactory
- De La Mare: In 1941 Walter Herbert de La Mare (1879- ) was living here with his son, also Walter Herbert (1905- ), and grandchildren Wilson Arthur (1931- ), Herbert Alexander (1932- ), Ursula Evelyn (1936- ) and Carlyle Robin (1939- )
