Listed building

A good example of a mid-19th century house with many external and internal features of historic significance. Includes unusual survival of attached rural shop.

A combination of a house and a former shop/post office building. Main house: Set back from road, two-storey, five-bay.

Former shop/post office building: Front of the building lines up with the low wall of the main house.

Some historic detailing to interior including dog legged stairs with stick balusters and flat topped newel. Sic-panel timber doors, fireplace with moulded frame and roundels; another pilastered fireplace with corbels.

  1. Jean was probably the son of Philippe and Marie, nee Fauvel, but we have not been able to place him in a family tree
